Clinical Exercise + Pilates

Perform+ is excited to offer Physio-led and designed pre-natal exercise + clinical pilates classes for expectant mothers.


We focus on strengthening the muscles that get loaded throughout all the different stages of pregnancy which also helps prepare you for the physical demands of motherhood. 


No matter what stage of pregnancy you are in, as Physios we know the amazing benefits that exercise has for both you and your baby and we can tailor your exercises to ensure you stay safe and can achieve great results. 


Before your first class all participants are required to complete a health questionnaire and have an Initial Assessment with a Physiotherapist. This assessment will thoroughly screen you to ensure you and your baby are safe to exercise, and will involve a musculoskeletal assessment, teach you pelvic floor exercises and orientate you to the clinical pilates equipment.


Our classes are limited to 5 pregnant women per class and are claimable on Private Health Insurance with Extras.

Looking after you through pregnancy + beyond

We are often asked if it is safe to exercise while pregnant. The answer is generally a resounding YES. Exercise plays a key role in helping keep both Mum + Bub healthy and easing some pregnancy symptoms. It can help with management of back pain, pelvic girdle pain, helps improve general + pelvic floor strength, improves mood and also addresses the postural changes that occurs with a growing tummy.  


If you have any concerns or further questions, we are happy to talk with you first and work collaboratively with your GP and/or Obstetrician.
